Our Reasonable Suspicion for Supervisors education course is designed in compliance with §382.603 Training for supervisors. Employers are required to ensure that all designated supervisors of drivers undergo at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and an additional 60 minutes on controlled substanceu use.
This training equips supervisors with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify indicators of alcohol misuse and controlled substance use. It enables them to determine whether reasonable suspicion exists to require a driver to undergo testing as per §382.307. The course covers various physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators associated with probable alcohol misuse and the use of controlled substances.
Notably, recurrent training for supervisory personnel is not mandated under this regulation.
